In this advanced Restorative teacher training, we will focus on the body as the temple for healing and the art of relaxation in more complex postures. Students will learn new restorative postures, as well as deepen their skills to support clients, in the group class model as well as individually. Participants are required to complete a project to receive a certificate for this course.
Restorative yoga offers the assistance of props to hold the body; when the body feels supported, it learns to release and rest, making room for healing. This training is for teachers and practitioners currently practicing and teaching restorative yoga.
Focus of Training:
The body as a temple for healing— share with the group, what you do for self-healing, support for your body and mind. Please include meditation, mindfulness and any other practice you may be doing. You are not healing anyone you are first and foremost leading by example, and supporting others on their quest to heal.
Advanced use of props— restorative chair, eye wrap, sandbags.
Ayurveda & the Doshas as it relates to the physical postures — use the vrikruti as a starting point to creating a relationship with the client. Start with this, taking each others' vikruti, test, and seeing where they are at. Take a client history with each other.
