- Sunday, March 5, 2-6:30p
The yantra construction will take place over the course of two days interspersed with time for chanting and meditation practices. Snacks and tea will be provided.
Our practice of Sacred Art painting will start with a short meditation. Then you will be led into the creative process of Yantra drawing & painting. We will learn the meaning of the different parts that make up the Durga Yantra. The construction (drawing and painting) of the yantra will take us deeper into the feeling of devotion, meditation and sacredness.
Do I have to be an artist to take this class?
You definitely do not need to define yourself as an artist to attend this workshop. Chanti is familiar with welcoming students of all artistic abilities into her classes. She will show you how to create a yantra using accessible methods and tools. Think of the creation process itself more as a meditation.
Durga was born from light. Durga removes all difficulty and establishes harmony. She is that which destroys all so that we may shine light on our own darkness. Practicing with the Durga Yantra will give us the strength we need during these challenging times.
